The PumpSaver Overload Relay wires in between your pump and the electrical panel to continuously monitor motor activity and shut the pump down before damage occurs. We highly recommend it for low-producing wells, cistern backup systems, and any application where dry-run risk is a concern. Available in 115V (up to 1HP) and 230V (up to 3HP) models.
How It Works
The single-phase PumpSaver® relay protects pumps from dry-well, dead-head, jammed impeller, rapid cycling, and over/undervoltage conditions — regardless of whether the pressure switch is mounted before or after the unit.
A built-in calibration process lets you tune the relay to your specific pump application, minimizing false trips. A proprietary microcontroller continuously monitors voltage, power factor, and current. When an abnormality is detected (such as loss of suction), the relay disconnects the pump motor and starts a user-selectable restart delay timer for dry-well recovery. Once the timer expires — or power is cycled — the relay reactivates and allows the pump to restart.
Includes a NEMA 3R weatherproof enclosure for indoor or outdoor installation.
