The Springer Series 1/2 HP automatic cistern pump draws water through an integrated floating intake, keeping the intake between the sediment that settles at the bottom and the material near the water's surface. It is a drop-in pumping option for cabins, small homes, and direct supply to a frost-free hydrant, spigot, or hose.
The pump starts when water is demanded, using its internal pressure and flow controls. No external pressure switch or pressure tank is required for its intended applications.

- Built-in run-dry protection: if air is detected, the pump shuts off and must be manually reset once water is present

Choose the right setup
Internal controls make this pump convenient for direct water supply, but it is not recommended for drip irrigation or long uphill runs greater than 60 ft. For those applications, consider a pump setup with a pressure tank and external controls. For a whole-house system, match the pump and controls to your home's demand rather than choosing by horsepower alone.
