NSF-Approved, Slow-Dissolve Chlorine Pellets for Drinking Water Tanks

These chlorine pellets from Better Water Industries are used to kill bacteria in ground water. This product can be used in many different applications, such as wells, agricultural, or other settings where untreated water needs to be purified. Each chlorine pellet weighs 1 gram each (3/8" diameter). Recommended for Hydrogen Sulfer removal, odor removal, and water sterilizing.

For rain system maintenance,  add 14 pellets (1/2 oz) per every 1,000 gallons of water to get a dosage of approximately 2.5ppm, and do this every 3 months. If you need to do a yearly shock-chlorination of your tank or cistern, you may want to add 2-5 times that amount.

Please note that chlorine pellets are designed to help aid in a healthy cistern system. Chlorine pellets should not take the place of indoor bacteria control, like a UV system, but instead should be used as a preventative maintenance tool for your cistern.
