Simple, Effective, Inexpensive Way to Harvest Rain

We at Rain Brothers have been designing, constructing, and installing rainwater harvesting systems — both residential- and commercial-scale — in the Ohio region for nearly two decades, and we've used virtually every downspout diverter on the market. Common problems we've encountered include:

  • Difficult installation
  • Insufficient outlet size
  • Insufficient overflow, causing the diverter to back up drainage
  • Only working with the smallest downspouts (2"x3")

Our Flex-Fit Downspout Diverter addresses all of these issues with a thoughtful, high-quality, affordable solution:

  • Easy to install — no need to cut your downspout. Simply drill a 2-1/8" hole and the Flexi-Fit fits right in.
  • Large 1-1/4" outlet allows plenty of water to pass to your barrel or tank.
  • Large overflow opening lets water pass back through the downspout once your barrel is full.
  • Works with both 2"x3" and 3"x4" downspouts — also fits 2.5" square and 2.75" square downspouts (slightly less efficient). For a dedicated 3"x4" fit, see our specialized 3"x4" diverter.

Required for Installation

  • (1) 2-1/8" hole saw — NOT INCLUDED
  • (2) 3/4" self-tapping Phillips screws — INCLUDED
  • (1) Fill hose (1" PVC also fits inside diverter) — NOT INCLUDED
  • (1) Hose seal — NOT INCLUDED
  • (1) Winter cap — if temperatures drop below freezing in your area — NOT INCLUDED

Installs in Three Easy Steps

  1. Drill the hole. Use a 2-1/8" hole saw to drill into your downspout. For 2"x3" downspouts, drill in the front face. For 3"x4" downspouts, drill in the 3" side — or use our specialized 3"x4" diverter. For round downspouts, see our Round Downspout Diverter. Ensure the hole is level with the inlet on your barrel.
  2. Insert and fasten. Insert the diverter and secure it to the downspout with the included self-tapping screws.
  3. Connect and collect. Attach the fill hose to the diverter and run it into your barrel through the hose seal. Start collecting rain!
