Plastic Cable Weight for Float Switch Tethering

Easily Tether and Mount Your Float Switch

When installing a float switch inside a water tank, you need to tether it to something stable — a pipe, a pump, or another fixed point. If nothing suitable is available, this plastic cable weight is exactly what you need. It holds your float switch cable at the correct activation depth without requiring a fixed anchor inside the tank.

Installation

1. Remove the cable clip from the cable weight by lifting the tab upward until it releases from the notch, then pull directly away.
2. Determine the desired activation level. Place the float switch cable in the slot of the cable weight (with clip removed) and tether to the appropriate length.
3. Secure the float switch cable by pressing the cable clip into the slot until it clicks and sits snug against the cable without pinching. Perform a pull test — if the cable slips, press the clip into the next notch.
4. Suspend the float switch and cable weight at the determined activation level using a mounted float bracket or per local codes.
