We’ve redesigned our standard cistern pump to include an integrated floating intake — drawing water from the mid-column of your cistern where sedimentation is lowest. Heavy sediment settles in the bottom 6", lighter sediment collects in the top 4–6". By floating the intake between those two zones, you’ll get cleaner water into your home and extend the life of your in-home filters.
Don’t be misled by higher-horsepower pumps — our 1/2HP Springer Series delivers excellent pressure and flow for small, medium, and large residential whole-house systems. After 17 years in the rainwater harvesting business, we built this pump line ourselves to control quality and pricing.
This Traditional pump is comparable to the Franklin C1 model. It includes an integrated low-level float switch for automatic run-dry protection, and requires a pressure tank (minimum 16-gallon; we recommend a 20-gallon tank) and an external pressure switch such as the one in our pump control/tank tee kit.
