Viqua UV Max PRO 20 — 20 GPM NSF Class A Ultraviolet System
The UV Max PRO 20 is designed for commercial applications where NSF Class A certification is required — for example, EPA public water supplies. For residential cistern systems, the PRO 10 is typically sufficient, as residential flow rates rarely exceed 10 GPM.
All UV Max PRO Series systems include everything needed for initial installation: UV lamp, power supply, quartz sleeve, and 316 stainless steel UV reactor (water chamber). The PRO Series also includes a UV intensity monitor, timer, alarm reset, lamp life display and alert, digital display, Cooltouch Kit, and shut-off valve as standard.
UV Max PRO Series systems eliminate 99.99% of bacteria and viruses, including chlorine-resistant cysts not tested in routine water tests (such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia).

How Ultraviolet Sterilization Works
The germicidal energy of ultraviolet light destroys harmful microorganisms by attacking their genetic core (DNA), eliminating their ability to reproduce. Water flows through a watertight chamber containing a UV lamp; as it passes, microorganisms receive a lethal dose of germicidal UV energy. No chemicals are added, and the taste and odor of your water are unaffected.
