BENEFITS OF HDPE CISTERNS: Durability and longevity. These tanks can last forever and can be easily repaired if they leak. Since it is high-density polyethylene, the plastic itself is very stable. Also, tanks can be installed using smaller equipment, so there is much more flexibility in location of installation. The Bruiser line of tanks can be backfilled using native soil (minus clay) instead of sand/gravel/crushed stone.

DISADVANTAGES OF HDPE CISTERNS: Because the tanks themselves are relatively light-weight, precautions must be taken during installation to prevent damage to tanks and tank floating (i.e., tanks popping out of the ground). In areas with high water tables, you may want to consider our low profile cisterns and low profile septic tanks instead.
