Normally Closed Float Switch 120/230V (Bare Leads)
HIGH-LEVEL SWITCH: NORMALLY CLOSED PUMP-DUTY FLOAT SWITCH
Introducing the Altra Pump Switch by Alderon Industries. Made in the USA.
A "Normally Closed" float switch means that the switch is on (i.e., the circuit is closed) when the float is in the down position, and the switch turns off (circuit opens) when the float is in the upward position. That makes this switch ideal in situations where you want to use a secondary water source to fill a cistern tank. For example, if you have a low-yielding well, and you want to pump the water into a reservoir tank, you would use this Normally Closed switch to tell the well pump to turn on when the reservoir cistern is low, and turn off when the reservoir cistern is full.
A Normally Closed switch can also be used to signal an alarm or a light to alert when the water in the cistern is low. Or, you could use our Low-Level Audible Tank Alarm to do that, which comes with its own Normally Closed switch.
Our Normally Closed 120/230V Float Switch is a 13amp rated pump-duty switch with heavy duty contacts for maximum pump starting loads.
