EASE OF INSTALLATION: 2 on a scale of 1-10. The only hard part is mounting it, as it is quite heavy and likely will require an extra set of hands.

FREQUENCY OF MAINTENANCE: Sediment filters generally last 4-6 months, but sometimes can go 12 months between changes (a noticeable pressure drop in your home is best way to know when filters are starting to get clogged). UV lamp gets changed once per year. A countdown clock on the UV system will alert you when the lamp needs changing. Quartz sleeve (which is the glass tube that surrounds the lamp and keeps it from getting wet) should be cleaned/wiped down with a dry cloth every time filters are changed. Video below details how to do this. All of these maintenance items take less than 10 minutes and are easy to do.

WHAT ELSE WILL I NEED?: If you are mounting to drywall, then you'll likely need a 2x4 sheet of plywood to mount to the studs and then to have this UV system mount to it. If mounting to concrete wall, two concrete wall anchors will be necessary, and a hammer drill.
