RMS/WISY Coarse Floating Intake Filter (1-1/4")
Since all harvested rainwater is filtered before entering the tank, the floating filter should never clog. Instead, it draws water from just below the surface — the highest quality zone in the tank, as particulates either float on the surface or settle to the bottom. The floating filter acts more as an uptake point for the pump than a true filter, and should never require maintenance.
Consists of a polyethylene ball and stainless steel filter mesh. Filter mesh size: 1.2mm (1,200 microns).
Use this product in conjunction with our TigerFlex 1-1/4" Flexible Suction Pipe to build out your own floating intake sleeve for your pump. Below are examples of how to build out a floating intake sleeve. Note: this product includes only the floating intake filter as pictured — PVC fittings to build out a sleeve are not included.
